MEP Manager

New Cairo, Egypt

The MEP Manager is responsible for leading and overseeing all Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) and infrastructure projects from conception to completion. This role ensures projects are delivered on time, within budgeted hours, and in alignment with company standards, while fostering a collaborative and positive work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Oversight:
    Supervise and support discipline managers in executing electrical, mechanical, and infrastructure projects, ensuring all deliverables meet quality, schedule, and budget objectives.
  • Planning & Documentation:
    Develop and maintain project budgets, schedules, company regulations, and supporting documentation required for successful project execution.
  • Process Improvement:
    Analyze existing workflows and processes, conduct performance reviews, and organize meetings to discuss and implement efficiency and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Performance Monitoring:
    Conduct research, perform diagnostics, and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate project and departmental performance.
  • Reporting:
    Review and assess weekly and monthly reports submitted by discipline managers, providing feedback and strategic recommendations for improvement.
  • Department Development:
    Continuously improve departmental standards, design tools, and software applications to enhance productivity and quality across MEP and infrastructure teams.
  • Recruitment & Team Building:
    Lead recruitment efforts in collaboration with HR to identify, interview, and hire qualified candidates for MEP and infrastructure departments.
  • Training & Mentorship:
    Develop comprehensive onboarding and training programs. Mentor department heads and team members to build a culture of continuous learning and professional growth.
  • Workflow Optimization:
    Design and implement efficient, integrated workflows that align with the company’s project management framework, ensuring seamless coordination and timely delivery.
  • Cross-Discipline Coordination:
    Collaborate closely with architects, structural engineers, and other design disciplines to ensure cohesive, functional, and fully integrated project outcomes.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 15 years of experience in MEP and infrastructure design and management, supported by verifiable documentation.
  • Strong proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and BIM software.
  • Proven ability to lead multi-disciplinary teams and manage complex engineering projects from design through delivery.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
