Team Leader Structural Design Engineer

Job Purpose

To lead and oversee the structural design function across diverse projects, ensuring innovative, safe, and cost-efficient solutions aligned with client requirements, industry codes, and UAE Municipalities. The role involves providing technical leadership, mentoring Seniors / junior engineers, and ensuring seamless coordination with other disciplines for successful project delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the structural design process for complex and high-profile projects, ensuring compliance with UAE building regulations and international codes.
• Supervise, mentor, and guide the structural design team, ensuring technical excellence and professional development.
• Review, validate, and approve structural drawings, models, and calculations for accuracy and constructability.
• Coordinate closely with architects, MEP engineers, and clients to deliver integrated, value-engineered design solutions.
• Oversee quality assurance, risk assessments, and adherence to project schedules and budgets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil/Structural Engineering
• Minimum 15 years of experience in structural design, including at least 8 years of proven, practical experience in the UAE market, in a leadership role within consultancy firms.
• Strong expertise in international and UAE codes of practice (e.g., ACI, BS, Eurocodes, Dubai/UAE municipality standards).
• Proficiency in advanced structural design software.
• Excellent leadership, client-facing, and multidisciplinary coordination skills.

Work Environment:

• Working hours: 8:00 to 17:30
• Days off: Friday and Saturday
• Location: New Cairo
